A Little Bit About Me
I am a sincere, honest and confident Sunni Muslim looking to settle down. I am into the usual pastimes such as eating out, cinema, theatre, meeting friends but I love travelling. I have been to many amazing places but there is still so much to see and the 'World is a big place'. I am more into the cultural sides of travelling rather than sitting on a beach and grabbing a few rays.

I love to read and always have a good book at hand whether it is fiction or an autobiography. I am always up for a lively debate on any topic from politics to why they changed the name of Marathon to Snickers. ;-)

I like to keep active and attend the gym regularly as well as running and cycling. On weekends I like to get away from London and climb a peak or two in the countryside or visit some of the National Trusts' treasures. I am family orientated and have numerous nieces and nephews to keep me busy.

My main line of work was in finance as an asset manager and have been lucky enough to semi-retire a few years ago and now spend the majority of my time volunteering from teaching asylum seekers English, shopping and delivering food to the elderly and even managing to run a local museum!

No one is perfect and like everyone else I do have my bad habits but trust me they are not that bad! I am an optimist and always strive to see the positive in life. Be warned, however, that I do have a very sarcastic sense of humour.

What I Am Looking For
Rather than write a whole list of pre-requisites I think every individual is unique and you really do not know whether you are compatible or not until you get a dialogue going and see whether there is the elusive 'chemistry'.

Nonetheless, my partner needs to have similar interests to myself so we can at least spend time together but still be independent. I strongly believe in fairness and equity in a relationship and this even extends to doing the household chores. Dare I say it but I could be deemed a 'modern' man who is not afraid of adorning a pair of marigolds and slaving over a kitchen stove! :-) I still believe in traditional manners though and I will still hold doors open for you and tackle the perennially difficult jar lid.

Communication is key and I would like to able to share my thoughts and ideas with my partner as well as tackling life's ups and downs together. Honesty and trust is critical to any relationship and I would want my partner to have these traits.
