A Little Bit About Me
Thanks for checking out my profile.
Here’s a little about my family background:
My family are Pakistani however they were born and brought up in Kenya before moving to the UK. Both my parents are working professional. We are a Punjabi family however my parents are fluent in Urdu and can speak some Hindi and a tiny bit of Swahili also.
I would describe my family as traditional in certain aspects but overall a liberal and modern, forward thinking Muslim family.
Ok, so if you have liked what you have read so far then here’s a little about me:
I am born and bred in UK, and am based in the greater London area. I work in the finance industry within the asset management arm of an investment bank.
I would describe myself as easy going, always up for trying out new experiences and generally a modern Muslim with liberal views on religion and politics. I try and keep a good balance between religion and my everyday life and try not to muddy the waters between culture and religion. I don't believe chivalry is dead and I always like to act like a gent :o)
I enjoy travelling, going out to restaurants, cinema (love watching films), music, and cars (is a big passion of mine). I also like going to the theatre to watch plays, enjoy playing sports and going to the gym. I am always up for activities that make my adrenaline pump but at the same time I quite like to do something more chilled out like go to a museum. I am very open minded and like to have new experiences and create new memories.
What I Am Looking For
In terms of what I am looking for in a potential partner, I guess a hybrid between the elegance of Coco Chanel and the Beauty of Audrey Hepburn lol.
But on a serious note, I am looking to get to know someone who is easy going, independent, bubbly, self-confident, humorous (sarcasm also welcomed lol), and who would also describe themselves as a modern Muslim. Ideally someone who does not drink or smoke.
I would like if my potential spouse was head strong and a believer in equality in a relationship. If you think that a woman and a man have certain roles or a place in a relationship then I don’t think you would be right for me. I am a strong believer in equality in every form.
Ideally I would like someone based in the UK. (Open to all backgrounds).
I feel it’s the right time in my life where I can move on to the next chapter and experience new things and I’m hoping to find someone who feels a similar way. :o)
Thanks for reading and good luck with your search.
