  1. What is a 'Profile Rating' and how can I improve this?
    Your profile is rated between 0 and 5 stars, based on its level of completeness. You are given 1 star for each of the following:
    • Entering a profile description
    • Entering more than 75 words in your profile description
    • Entering information about what you're looking for
    • Entering more than 75 words about what you're looking for
    • Having a primary profile picture
    By increasing your profile rating other users will be able to tell your profile is genuine and worth reading, increasing the amount of interest you get.

  2. What information isn't allowed in my profile?
    You can include more or less any information in your profile except for the following:
    • Content that contains email addresses, web links or advertisements.
    • Meaningless content, random characters etc.
    • HTML code or tags.
    • Content that you don't have permission to use or breaches copyright.
    • Content that interferes with other User's enjoyment of the site.
    • Content that is not in the sites primary language of English.
    • Content that discriminates against any persons race, ethnicity, gender, disability, religion, beliefs or any other preference.
    • Content that is inappropriate for our site; sexy, adult, unlawful or un-Islamic.
    • Content that breaches our Terms and Conditions.
    Single Muslim would recommend members not use negative statements, within their profiles, when making reference to people from other cultural / social / ethnic backgrounds. We would only recommend, making positive statements, regarding what would constitute your ideal marriage partner. Any content found by Single Muslim that we deem culturally or socially discriminative may be removed without notice, or your profile may be suspended from the site.

  3. When will my profile be approved?
    We aim to approve accounts within 24 hours, but during busier periods this may take slightly longer. Accounts are approved on a first come, first served basis so your account will be updated in turn as soon as possible.

  4. My public profile says 'Pending Approval'. What does this mean?
    When a profile is updated, some text or your picture may not be visible to other Single Muslim members. This is because our Single Muslim team needs to approve the changes to make sure the content is acceptable and not likely to cause offense to other users. We also have your safety and privacy in mind, and believe you shouldn't share your contact information with anyone unless you're sure about them.
